Child Diagnostic Assessments

Turning Corners can write a Child Diagnostic Assessment to thoroughly assess your child’s special needs. The Child Diagnostic Assessment can be used by other professions who maybe assisting you in identifying an alternative placement resource.

Child Diagnostic Assessment fee: $500 per child (non-refundable)

The counselors at Turning Corners will review your child’s information to determine his or her level of need. They will review all medical, educational, and behavioral health records as well as have you complete parent narratives about the child. The counselor will base the assessment off of record reviews and your family self-report. The child is not personally interviewed. PLEASE NOTE: A psychological and medical examination need to be valid within one year of assessment request. This Child Assessment is a valuable tool for any professionals or placement resources with whom you may be working. Enclosed you will find release forms as well as other documentation that must be completed to gather the information and to conduct the assessment.
